Brand
Yuneec started in Hong Kong in 1999 building radio-controlled model planes for other brands, then moved into drones. Its Typhoon Q500 and the six-rotor Typhoon H, unveiled at CES in 2016, made it a familiar alternative to DJI, and Intel invested in the company in 2015 and supplied the RealSense obstacle avoidance on the Typhoon H. Today Yuneec presents itself as a company of ATL Drone, with offices in Germany, Switzerland and the US, and sells two hexacopters for professional work, the H520E and the H850 RTK. Its consumer drones, like the Mantis Q and Typhoon H, are legacy products now, but Yuneec's German shop still lists spare parts for them and its repair centers still fix the Typhoon H and H Plus.
