Skydio · Enterprise drone · 2023–present (Gen 2 from June 2025)
Skydio launched the X10 in September 2023, a month after leaving the consumer market, and built it for police, utilities and bridge inspectors. Skydio builds it at its plant in Hayward, California. It folds into a backpack, flies about 40 minutes, and carries one of three swappable sensor packages, two of them with a radiometric FLIR Boson+ thermal camera. The six navigation cameras that made the Skydio 2 famous are back with ten times the computing power, and NightSense attachments let it avoid obstacles in the dark. A second generation arrived in June 2025 with a better cellular modem and an all-grey shell, and Skydio says the two fly the same.

Should come with it
Check the listing photos against this list, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing piece should come off the price.
Skydio issued a notice in May 2025 that wear at the battery connector can cut power in flight on X10 and X10D drones; it now fits a shim at the factory and posted self-install kits to existing owners. Ask whether the shim is fitted.
New to used drones? How to check a used drone covers batteries, gimbals and crash damage, and Remote ID and registration explains what the FAA expects once it’s yours.
We haven’t been through this model’s listings yet. Search eBay and run every listing through the checklist above. Ask for the battery cycle counts, close photos of the gimbal, the lens and the arms, and confirmation that it’s been unbound from the seller’s account. Pass on any seller who won’t send them.
