Holy Stone · Camera drone · 2023 on
Holy Stone billed the HS720R, sold as the Polaris Ultimate, as its 2023 flagship. Where the HS720G before it had a two-axis gimbal, the R gets three axes and still runs electronic stabilization on top, so 4K video at 30 frames a second gets two layers of smoothing. Holy Stone also stretched the video link, rated to 3,000 m through a Wi-Fi repeater, and gave it a 26-minute battery. At 389 g it sits between the sub-250 g travel drones and the heavier HS720E, so it has to be registered in the US. It does make that part easier. It's on the FAA's Remote ID list as a standard Remote ID drone, so it needs no add-on module. Holy Stone has since pulled its product page, but batteries are still listed.

Should come with it
Check the listing photos against this list, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing piece should come off the price.
Holy Stone's FAQ blames a drone that circles by itself on magnetic interference and asks for a compass calibration at every power-on. Its manual also says to take the gimbal cover off before powering up, so ask whether it was always removed.
New to used drones? How to check a used drone covers batteries, gimbals and crash damage, and Remote ID and registration explains what the FAA expects once it’s yours.
Buying guide
Only three HS720Rs are for sale, all carded new, so the $190–230 band isn't a market read. We'd buy the boxed one at $230 with free shipping, since the cheaper two ($159 and $224 delivered) come from one seller using a Holy Stone ad graphic in place of a photo of the unit. The HS720R is on the FAA's Remote ID list as a standard Remote ID drone, and at 389 g it must be registered with the FAA for any flying, using its Remote ID serial number. It shipped with one battery and a rechargeable transmitter and flies through the Ophelia FLY app on a phone with 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Holy Stone's manual says to take the gimbal cover off before powering up.
