The HS720E is the version of Holy Stone's folding HS720 that added electronic image stabilization. The plain HS720 arrived in early 2020, and Holy Stone's English manual for the E is dated July 2020. It keeps the 495 g frame, brushless motors and batteries of the HS720, smooths its 4K video in software, and takes microSD cards up to 128 GB instead of 32. There's no mechanical gimbal, so the camera only tilts and all the steadying happens in the image. It came as a kit with two batteries, a charging hub and a bag. Years later it's still listed on Holy Stone's site, and the arms, batteries and remote are still sold as spares, which makes a tired one easy to put right.

Remote IDRemote ID not confirmed
The FAA's Declaration of Compliance list has accepted the HS720E as a standard Remote ID drone since August 2023, but Holy Stone's own store still tells HS720E owners to fit its Remote ID module, and neither says which units broadcast. At 495 g it must be registered with the FAA for any flying, so confirm the drone has a Remote ID serial number or budget for a module.
Account lock
Holy Stone doesn't document an account lock, activation or unbinding step for the HS720E. Your phone joins the drone's own Wi-Fi network and the Ophelia GO app flies it.
Controller
A dedicated 2.4 GHz Holy Stone transmitter with an LCD screen that runs on AA batteries (not included). Holy Stone still sells a replacement HS720/HS720E remote, but make sure one is in the listing.
App and firmware
Ophelia GO, the app Holy Stone names for the HS720E (it also runs the HS720 and HS710). It's still in the App Store, last updated in September 2025. Your phone needs 5 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11ac); an 802.11n-only phone won't connect.

Spare propellers
Check the listing photos against this list, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing piece should come off the price.
What to check
Holy Stone's own FAQ says a drone that circles on its own is usually reacting to magnetic interference, and it asks for a compass calibration every time you power on. Arms are the usual crash casualty, and Holy Stone sells all four as spares. Phones without 5 GHz Wi-Fi can't show the live view.
01Remote ID: Ask the seller whether it broadcasts Remote ID or comes with Holy Stone's Remote ID module. Good is a Remote ID serial number you can enter on FAADroneZone, or a module in the box.
02Registration: Ask the seller to cancel their FAA registration for it. You'll register it in your own name, since it weighs 495 g.
03Batteries: Count the batteries in the photos and look for puffed or split packs. Two flat, undamaged packs and the charging hub is the full kit.
04Arms: Look at the arm hinges and prop tips in the photos. Arms should fold out square, with no cracks or white stress marks.
05Camera: Ask for a short clip recorded to the card. It should be sharp 4K that stays steady in a slow pan, and the lens should be unscratched.
06Transmitter: Make sure the transmitter is pictured with the drone. On arrival, its LCD screen should light up and pair with the drone.
07Phone: Check that your phone has 5 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11ac) before you buy. Without it, Ophelia GO can't show the live view.
We'd buy the HS720 titled tested at $95 delivered, a little under the $100–150 band most complete kits ask, or the one titled complete at $90 with free shipping if you can live without a seller's test. There are at least 76 for sale, and this page mixes the early HS720 (no EIS, cards up to 32 GB) with the HS720E, which adds electronic stabilization and 128 GB card support, so check which one the title and photos show. Remote ID is unclear. The FAA's list has accepted the HS720E since August 2023, but Holy Stone still tells owners to fit its module, so confirm the drone has a Remote ID serial number or budget for a module, and at 495 g it must be registered with the FAA for any flying. Make sure the transmitter is in the listing, since it's a dedicated Holy Stone remote that runs on AA batteries, and that your phone has 5 GHz Wi-Fi for the Ophelia GO app. Skip the zero-feedback sellers, including several asking $100 to $260 under one copied title.

The lowest complete HS720 without a read note in the title, at $90 with free shipping, titled complete. It isn't titled tested, so ask for a short video of it hovering and the camera recording.
Titled tested at $95 delivered, under the band, and the photo shows the drone, the transmitter and the case. It's the early HS720, so it lacks the HS720E's electronic stabilization.
