The Nano series was Autel's first go at the sub-250 g class DJI had built with the Mini. Autel announced it in September 2021, and after delays the first shipments reached US warehouses at the very end of that year. The Nano+ is the better-camera version, with a 50 MP 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor and a bright f/1.9 lens, while Autel's FAQ says everything else matches the plain Nano. It weighs 249 g without accessories and flies for a rated 28 minutes. Autel pitched it as the only drone its size with obstacle sensing, using binocular cameras facing forward, back and down. It also has built-in Remote ID, so it works for Part 107 jobs as well as fun flying.

Takeoff weight: 249 g, under the 250 g line
Remote IDBuilt-in Remote ID
The EVO Nano+ has its own accepted Remote ID Declaration of Compliance on the FAA's list. At 249 g, flown purely for fun under the recreational exception, it needs neither FAA registration nor Remote ID. Fly it under Part 107 and it needs both, and Autel's 249 g figure is without accessories.
Account lock
Autel's FAQ has you activate a Nano-series drone in the Autel Sky app, through the controller, the first time you pair it. Autel doesn't document an account lock or an unbinding step, so there's nothing for the seller to release. Ask them to confirm it's activated and pairs with the controller in the listing.
Controller
It comes with Autel's standard remote controller, which holds your phone and has two USB-C ports, one for charging and one for the phone. Autel says the drone and controller won't pair if their firmware comes from different packages, so a listing with its original controller is the easy buy.
App and firmware
Autel Sky, which Autel lists for iOS 13 and Android 6 or later. Autel's Nano FAQ runs firmware updates through it, and it's still on Autel's app download page.

Check the listing photos against this list, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing piece should come off the price.
What to check
Faults on the Nano+ aren't widely documented. Like Autel's other Sky-app drones, it won't pair if the drone and controller carry firmware from different packages, and the fix is an SD card update to a matching version. Watch the weight too, since anything you bolt on can take it past 249 g.
01Weight: Check the listing for prop guards or add-ons you'd fly with. Bare, it's 249 g and needs no registration for purely recreational flying.
02Activation: Ask the seller to show it connecting in Autel Sky with the included controller. A short video of the live camera view on their phone is what you want.
03Batteries: Ask how many batteries come with it and look at each one from the side in the photos. They should sit flat, with no bulge or split seams.
04Gimbal and lens: Zoom in on the camera glass and gimbal in the photos. The lens should be clean and unscratched, and the gimbal should sit level.
05Crash history: Ask if it's ever crashed, and look at the arms and props in the photos. You want no cracks, chips or mismatched replacement parts.
06Controller: Check the original remote controller is in the photos. A matched pair on the same firmware pairs without fuss.
07Firmware: On arrival, update the drone and controller in Autel Sky before the first flight. Both should finish on the same firmware package.
Only two Nano+ are listed, both shipping from Europe, so the $625–725 band isn't a market read. We'd start with the one from Hungary at $578 delivered, titled perfect condition with a new battery, over the one from Italy at $769 with five batteries and ND filters, titled like new. Either way, expect a longer wait and possibly import fees, and ask the seller to show it connecting in Autel Sky with the included controller. At 249 g it needs neither FAA registration nor Remote ID for purely recreational flying, as long as nothing you bolt on takes it over. Fly it under Part 107 and it must be registered, and its built-in Remote ID handles the broadcast.
