Parrot · Compact travel drone · Announced June 2018
Parrot announced the ANAFI in June 2018, and CEO Henri Seydoux said its shape came from insects, with the camera as the head and the battery as the abdomen. Its trick is a camera that tilts 180 degrees, straight up as well as down, behind a 21 MP Sony sensor with lossless digital zoom. It charges over USB-C, folds small and weighs 320 g. Reviews were mixed. Wired called the HDR video close to unusable, and The Verge made one lose control by putting a hand under its downward sensor, though the carbon and fiberglass frame survived a tree. Parrot built its professional ANAFI Thermal, USA and Ai on this design, but the consumer original is the one you'll find cheapest.

Should come with it
Check the listing photos against this list, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing piece should come off the price.
Reviewers flagged noisy footage and weak HDR, and The Verge found it would lose control if something passed under its downward sensor mid-flight. Parrot says it isn't protected against rain or snow, so ask whether it's been flown wet.

Buying guide
We'd buy the Extended Combo at $550 with free shipping, shown with the Skycontroller 3, three batteries and a bag. Only five are listed, two from one seller in France, so the $550–1,000 band isn't a market read, and the cheapest with its controller is $438 delivered. The ANAFI isn't on the FAA's Remote ID list, so it needs a broadcast module or can only fly at a FRIA, and at 320 g it must be registered however you fly it. We couldn't confirm FreeFlight 6's current store status, so ask the seller to show it flying on a recent phone, with the camera tilting through its full 180 degrees. Skip the $1,518 "Slightly Used" one, a stock photo from a zero-feedback seller at about twice the median.
