The EVO II Dual puts a 640 x 512 thermal camera next to a visual camera on one gimbal, and it found its market with first responders. In 2020 Autel announced Dual bundles assembled in Bothell, Washington, with a FLIR thermal camera, and its main US dealer said public safety crews had already used it to help save lives. Like the EVO II Pro, it went through V2 and V3 rebuilds. The V3 kept the 640 x 512 thermal sensor but swapped the 48 MP 8K camera for a 50 MP 1/1.28-inch one and moved to the Smart Controller V3. Autel rates its temperature readings from -20 to 550 °C across two gain modes, accurate between 2 and 20 m, which suits roof, solar and search work.

Remote IDRemote ID not confirmed
Autel's EVO II and EVO II V3 declarations are on the FAA's Remote ID list, but the list names model families, not the 640T, so we couldn't confirm a given aircraft. Check its serial number on the FAA's DOC site, or fly with a broadcast module. At 1,150 g it must be registered with the FAA however you fly it.
Account lock
Autel doesn't document an account lock or an unbinding step for the EVO II Dual. Ask the seller to show it pairing and flying with the included controller, and to clear any saved missions.
Controller
V1 and V2 kits came with Autel's standard controller, and Autel later put its Smart Controller V2 into Enterprise kits. V1 and V2 controllers won't fly each other's aircraft. V3 kits come with the Smart Controller V3, which has a 7.9-inch, 2,000-nit screen.
App and firmware
Autel Explorer, which Autel's app page says controls the EVO II Dual series. Autel set end-of-customer-service dates for EVO II V1 aircraft (May 31, 2024) and V2 (October 31, 2025), so for those versions factory repairs are over.

Check the listing photos against this list, and ask the seller about anything you can’t see. A missing piece should come off the price.
What to check
Version mixing is the trap. V1 and V2 aircraft and controllers don't work together, Autel's customer service for both has ended, and the V3 changed the visual camera. Autel rates temperature accuracy at 3 °C or 3 percent only from 2 to 20 m away, so readings from farther out aren't a fault.
01Version: Ask which version it is and which controller comes with it. The controller has to match the aircraft, V1 with V1 and V2 with V2.
02Thermal camera: Ask for a short thermal clip and a still from the drone. The image should be clean, with no dead spots, stripes or frozen frames.
03Remote ID: Ask for the serial number and look it up on the FAA's Declaration of Compliance site. If it isn't covered, budget for a broadcast module before you fly.
04Batteries: Ask how many batteries come with it and look at each one from the side in the photos. They should sit flat, with no bulge or split seams.
05Lenses: Zoom in on both camera windows in the photos. The glass should be clean and unscratched, and the gimbal should hang level.
06Crash history: Ask if it's ever crashed, and check the arms, props and shell in the photos. You want no cracks and no mismatched replacement parts.
07Firmware: On arrival, update the drone and controller together before flying. Both should finish on the same firmware package and pair cleanly.
We'd buy the used V3 RTK kit at $4,500 with free shipping, titled with a smart controller and a case, from a 100% seller. There are at least 15 listed, but nearly all are new V3 stock from Autel's dealers at $4,799–5,299, which is what sets the $4,550–4,800 band, and only a handful are used. Skip a V1 or V2 unless the price makes up for it, since their controllers won't fly each other's aircraft and Autel's customer service for both has ended. The FAA's Remote ID list names model families, not the 640T, so check the serial on the FAA's DOC site or fly with a broadcast module, and at 1,150 g it must be registered however you fly it. Ask any used seller for a short thermal clip with no dead spots or stripes and to clear their saved missions, and pass on the $3,728 Enterprise bundle from a 75% seller.
